My Famous Michelada

This is by FAR my favorite alcoholic drink. I honestly am not the biggest fan of beer, but I would take this over a margarita ANY day.

Just in time for Cinco De Mayo, here is my famous Michelada recipe!

Most recipes on the internet will use Clamato juice. I have used it before, but I like it better without, for a couple of reasons. One being that I don’t always have Clamato juice in my house and two it feels lighter to me when the Clamato juice is left out.

WHAT YOU NEED:

1/2 lime

2 tsp of Tapatio (or more, your choice)

1 tsp of worcestershire sauce

1 Mexican beer of your choice (I ALWAYS choose Modelo)

Chili Powder

Salt

WHAT TO DO:

  1. Grab a plate and mix chili powder and salt together, or use Tajín. Rub the rim of the glass with a lime and dip it onto the plate to create a chili-salted rim.

  2. Fill the glass with your lime, Tapatío, Worcestershire sauce, and a dash of chili powder. Gently stir.

  3. Pour your beer in and top it off with a lime wedge. ENJOY!
