September - You Were Sweet
Hi friends, long time no talk!
So you know how everyone is posting photo dumps of their month on Instagram and making recap videos on TikTok? Yeah, well count me in that bunch too. But, I thought it would also be fun to share a quick recap in a blog.
This past month was a GOOD one. Let me tell you - I have been so busy this past year with weddings, trips, birthdays, etc. that it felt nice to not have any set plans. This month I finally just got to chill and it was much needed. But don’t you worry - I still started my month out with a trip, because what’s a month without at least one trip, right?
Let’s get started.
Labor Day Weekend -
There could not have been a better start to my September. I was able to spend the weekend with all of my family and friends at the lake house we grew up going to just about every weekend. It was such a fun reunion weekend that included not only all of the kids who grew up going to the lake but all of our boyfriends, husbands, girlfriends, wives, babies and of course our parents. So many sunsets, drinking games and laughs were had.
Farmers Markets & Flowers -
Who knew I would go to two farmers markets in one month! I am 100% that girl that says she’s going to go to the farmers market every weekend and get fresh produce, eggs, etc. and instead I end up at Trader Joes. But this month, something changed because your girl went twice! It may have been to eat all the samples and take pictures of flowers but hey, I went and I loved every minute of it. I went to the San Ramon Farmer’s Market and the North Beach Farmer’s Market and they both did not disappoint. I will be going back!
Good Food & Lots of Drinks -
I spent a good chunk of September going out to dinners and drinking my way through the weekends with friends. Zac and I had a date night at Parada, one of our favorite Peruvian restaurants, and instead of getting one drink, like any normal person would, he decided a flight of martinis would be the better choice. If I’m being honest, it was worth every penny LOL. Also, never say no to a trio of empanadas. Get the empanadas. I also had a nice little girls outing to Bounty Hunter and we went full Girl Dinner with our fries, wine, salad and appetizer spread. And after a couple glasses of wine, we went next door to get a flight from my favorite wine bar in Walnut Creek, Va De Vi. One thing about me, I love a good wine bar.
Brooklyn & Benny -
Majority of the month was spent taking photos of my dogs, walking them, staring at them, and cuddling the shit out of them. But who am I kidding - this is going to be in every months recap because I am more than obsessed. If you know them, you know why.
September - you sure were sweet and so needed. Here’s to looking forward to the crazy month of October - filled with trips, birthdays, and another wedding.
Spooky season, I am ready for ya!
